Released in 2003, ‘Frank’, the Ivor Novello nominated debut by North London’s Amy Winehouse, was also nominated for two Brits Awards and short-listed for the Mercury Music Prize. Named after her pet dog, and featuring the singles ‘Stronger Than Me’, ‘Take The Box’, ‘In My Bed’ and ‘…Pumps’, it was described by Billboard as “stellar”, eventually going double platinum in the UK alone. In 2007 it re-entered the charts in the wake of the phenomenal success of her sophomore release, the five times Grammy Award winning chart-topper, ‘Back To Black’.
